Charmaine Lotriet (er, Kruger)

Charmaine had spent her lunch-times
for the last two weeks on a sun-bed i.o.t. get a good tan for
her dress (which was stunning, by the way). Unfortunately, I
then go and post a B&W photo on my page, totally negating
the desired effect :)
Kim obviously wins for best legs
- must be all that Argus training (it worked for my legs).

U2, take 2. Did they kick but?
Is a frog's arse watertight?
There was something very special
about the South African concert, being the last for the POP-MART
tour, and being the first time that U2 played in South Africa.
They have a bunch of very loyal
fans down here.

Ahh, things to do to pass the time.
For R2.50 (about 30 pence), you can buy a 'bubble solution',
and blow bubbles for about 4 hours solid. For those of you that
saw the bubbles blowing gently wafting roung Greenpoint stadium
- that was us!
And it was sooooo easy to find
your way back from the toilets :)

The start of the WD group for the 1998 Argus Cycle tour. Don't ask
why I started in WD, but let's just say I had a sun-tan before
I even started my race.
You can see me (totally unobscured)
in the picture by the way - clue? I've got a white helmet on
:-P

And yep, by Bakoven I'd totally
outpaced just about everything else on the road :)
Next year I'll have to shave my
legs again, because the hair just does not look cool with lycra.
The cycling outfit was compliments
of PQ Networks and Xyplex - It's always nice to get free stuff
(hint hint).
My time was 3hrs29, with an av.
speed of just over 30km/h, for those of you interested.

This is Hennie. Hennie
was chosen to paint my cousin's friend's room (why? No one else
wanted to do it, and we bribed him with beers).
Here's Hennie demonstrating how NOT to paint a room
floor. The arrow at the bottom was left there in case he spilt
paint on himself - at least we know where to start looking for
him.

Actually, this was a high-spirits, let's take loads
of photies, pre-U2 concert, jeez are we really at Wembley Stadium,
type thing.
Nice photograph anyway.

Also at the U2 concert
- we squeezed right to the front of the crowd. I had a disposable
camera, and after extracting my hand from the crowd, managed to
take this photo over my head.
Thousands of sweaty, bouncing people.
My kind of rock concert :)

concert. Due to my fantastic physique, I've had my shirt ripped
off by the wild women in the front row.
Susan had to save me...

This is in Scotland. I had a fantastic time, and
met some great people.
On the left is Cara, followed by Mark (I think - I lost my
diary, see), myself and Jenny. The four of us sat atop a derelict
castle on the Isle of Skye, in the middle of a freezing night,
playing with rune stones.
What was that? You've never tried it?

This is my mom and dad (dad and mom?! - I suppose
it depends on whether you're dyslexic or not).
My dad is looking pleased as punch because he's wearing his
Teddy-Bear tie. My mom is looking pleased as punch coz she's
wearing a jacket bought specially for the occasion (Kim &
Michelle's wedding, out of curiosity).
Actually, they're smiling because they're my parents :)

This is Kim, Michelle
and Pia.
Kim is the guy (his name is actually Brenden, but because
they spelt it incorrectly -i.e. not Brendon with an 'O' - he
chooses to go with his second name :)
He is now married to Michelle (lounging).
Pia is a communal friend. Pia and Michelle are having a 'woman'
type conversation - Kim is pretending to know what they're talking
about...
I obviously gave up totaly, and
was playing with my camera.
